English language courses for Young Learners (aged 8-17 years)
Students with advanced English language skills, who already have a school place for September entry, can benefit from one of our academic summer foundation programmes which take place in August.
Alongside our language and activity courses, we also offer intensive GCSE and A-level / International Baccalaureate preparation programmes which prepare international students for their term time studies. These courses operate at Bell Bedgebury International School every August.
The Leys School

The Leys School is situated in the world-famous university city of Cambridge. It has extensive grounds with a modern teaching block that boasts top of the range IT facilities, with all classrooms having interactive whiteboards or digital projectors.
The contemporary sports hall, together with excellent outdoor facilities, caters for a full range of sporting activities.

Wellington College

Wellington College was founded in 1853 in memory of the Duke of Wellington.
It is one of England's largest and most exclusive public schools.

Bloxham School

Bloxham School is set within beautiful English gardens and walled grounds, providing a safe and intimate campus. It offers superb boarding houses, classrooms and technology and arts buildings. Cobham Hall

Cobham Hall is a historic Tudor mansion which dates back to 1584. The school is set in 150 acres of parkland and boasts beautiful landscaped gardens. There is a dedicated teaching block with two deluxe IT suites. A wide range of sports and activities is available in the purpose-built sports hall. In addition, there is a dance studio, drama studio and art rooms.

Project UK
Project UK is a special programme which
integrates English language learning with
tuition on a topic or subject of your choice.
Bell designs each course to suit your specific group’s
language learning needs, consolidating subject work
completed in school. Courses are for 8-17 year olds and
can be run at any time of the year (apart from July) and
for any number of weeks.

Academic English
Perfect for students who want extra language tuition.
In addition to the core 15 hour language programme, the six hour study option
gives students extra time to focus on their English language studies.
Students can choose one of the following:

• English Literature
• Language Skills Development

British Life & Culture
Perfect for advanced students who want to study
British culture and language at a high level.
This course focuses on British life, literature, culture and heritage and gives
students the opportunity to explore Britain. In the six hour study option students
learn about different aspects of British culture and then use the study tours to
explore topics further in class. On the two-day trip to London, students learn about
Shakespeare and then visit the world-famous Globe Theatre to see a play performed.

Focus English
Perfect for students who want to focus on one activity and
develop their skills.
The six hour focus option is designed to give students an understanding of their
chosen topic, to enable them to learn new skills and to develop their individual
strengths through the medium of English. Students receive instruction at each
session. At the end of the course, students are awarded a certificate which
recognises their achievement in key areas.

Active English
Perfect for students who want to try a wide range
of activities.
The 10 hour sports and activities option gives students the opportunity to try
out a range of different sports and creative crafts and make use of the school’s
facilities. Students can try up to five or six sports and activities per week, with
a different range of activities at each centre.

Spring, Summer & Autumn Explorer
Spring, Summer and Autumn Explorer courses are
Perfect for students who want to explore a range of
outdoor activities.
On these three courses, the eight hour sports and activities option gives
students the opportunity to try out a range of different sports and creative crafts,
and make use of the school’s facilities. Students can try up to five or six sports
and activities per week. Sports and activities are dependent on the weather
conditions. Our explorer courses offer weekly start dates.

Winter Explorer
Explore England through regular educational visits.
The sports and activities focus option gives students the opportunity to try out
a range of different sports and creative crafts. This course also offers frequent
half and full day study tours to places of interest such as Canterbury, which
has a world famous cathedral and Hastings, a vibrant coastal town. In addition,
there is a full day study tour to London, giving students the chance to see
famous attractions such as Big Ben, the Tower of London and the London Eye.
Winter Explorer Plus
Includes a trip to Edinburgh.
This course has all the benefits of Winter Explorer and also includes a three
day educational trip to Edinburgh. Students visit the main sights of Scotland’s
ancient capital, with an opportunity to taste haggis and enjoy Scottish dancing!
